- Discuss violence and learn about the warning signs
- Teach, learn, and practice communicating honestly about feelings and problems
- Set, teach, and respect boundaries
- Advocate for violence prevention funding and programs 
- Do not judge people who stay or have been in abusive relationships.
- Pressure government to take action and to support initiatives.
- Vote for leaders who are part of the solution.
