* To spread awareness about the missing and murdered Aboriginal females of Canada
* To help stop stereotyping, misunderstandings, and discrimination of Aboriginal people
* To offer access to reliable, current sources of information
* To connect people, organizations and initiatives working towards the same goals
* To create a space of support for those affected by violence
* To share strategies for success in keeping our sisters safe
* To give a voice to the ones who have been silenced and to those who are affected
* To be a part of the solution in ending violence against women
* To pressure all levels of government (federal, provincial, municipal, and Indigenous)
    to take
immediate action by:
        - Publicly addressing the issues and facts
        - Developing a cohesive, research driven, national plan of action with specific                     strategies, dates of implementation, and review processes to ensure success and           accountability
        - Ensuring that there is social programming led in partnership with Aboriginally led            organizations that support healthy families, opportunities for youth, and responsive           communities
       - Conducting an independent, public, comprehensive, national inquiry in to missing             and murdered Aboriginal women in Canada and factors contributing to violence

This website and movement was started by
Jackie Benning
and Delaine Lambert English.

With the help of our community, friends and local Friendship centre, it has become much more and belongs to everyone.

Please use it to spread awareness, to educate, and most importantly: to end violence.

Thank you to the organizations who let us use their pictures and information and thank you to
all the people who made the YouTube videos
that we linked on the pages.

If you have questions, concerns or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In the spirit of Friendship,
